This IDC study discusses 2023 market shares across the worldwide cloud-native XDR market."The XDR market seems staid at the moment, but this may be because the industry is at an inflection point," said Christopher Kissel, research vice president, Security and Trust, IDC. "XDR vendors are being pressed by SIEM and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) for market share in detections and response. But the competition is forcing innovation. XDR vendors will have to decide on where to differentiate - that may be through the integration of data loss prevention (DLP), customized detection and response, or integration with policy engines to form greater control."
