This IDC PeerScape explores how savvy IT leaders are enabling workplace strategies, using technology to make in-office work the high point of the workweek, not an obligation to be endured. Strategies include increasing Wi-Fi bandwidth, upgrading collaboration and videoconferencing applications, and moving to brighter, more attractive, and more convenient office buildings. "There are as many hybrid work strategies as there are companies. In all cases, however, the key to success is striking a balance between the desire of employees for flexibility and the needs of their organization for collaboration and productivity," says Stanley B. Gibson, adjunct research advisor for IDC's IT Executive Programs (IEP).
