Key Highlights:
EVs, regardless of category, have grown in 3Q25 among various regions under different factors. It remains possible for overall sales to ascend in 4Q25 as it is the final period of the year for automakers to surge in sales. NEV sales are projected at 204.3 million units for 2025 at a YoY growth of 25.4%, with a market share of 22.4%.
The Chinese market is still relatively likely to retain its purchase subsidy in 2026, though the difference lies on the sources of budgets and restrictions of conditions. From the guidance of such mainstream market, sales of electrified vehicles would continue to increase throughout 2026.
NVIDIA remains significantly advantageous in the ADAS field, especially for overseas markets of Chinese brands and high-end models of non-Chinese brands. Qualcomm has been expanding aggressively in the Chinese market recently, and targeting the high-end sector, but NVIDIA retains the largest ratio.
For the IVI field, Qualcomm accounts for nearly 50% of market share, but Renesas, ST, and NXP are still available brands for automakers under the consideration of cost.
IVI remains as the largest source of demand among automotive memory. With the upgrades of infotainment specifications, DRAM is focused on 4/8GB, whereas NAND Flash spans across a wider spectrum from 4GB to 32GB for mainstream applications.
