This IDC PlanScape will describe how IT can improve its performance by shifting to a product-centric, agile team structure where all the advantages of using product costing and measuring business KPIs can be exploited. "Moving to a full product-oriented costing and KPI system is not simply a financial data problem," says Robert Multhaup, adjunct research advisor, IT Executive Programs (IEP) at IDC. "The entire IT organization must shift to a more product-centric model, which can be accomplished by building on the agile team structures that already exist in many organizations."
