This IDC Market Share report presents 2023 vendor revenue and shipments in the wireless local area network (WLAN), Ethernet switch, and enterprise router infrastructure markets as well as compares the current state of the market to that of 2022. "The European enterprise switching and wireless LAN markets, which saw tremendous growth in 2022 and the beginning of 2023, have dropped significantly toward the end of 2023. Backlogs in wireless LAN orders have now mostly been implemented, and the increased demand they place on access networks continue to drive growth in the campus ethernet switch market," said Len Padilla, senior research director, IDC European Networking and Life-Cycle Services. "Future waves of wireless LAN upgrades, such as Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7, will continue this trend."
