This IDC study presents the five-year forecast for the U.S. business use of smartphone shipments by operating system and user type (consumer, individual liable, and corporate liable). It is part of IDC's continuing research with respect to mobile devices. Findings in this document are based on information gathered from primary and secondary sources during the past six months."Corporate-liable smartphone shipments in the United States are expected to see steady growth over the forecast period," said Bryan Bassett, research manager, IDC's Enterprise Mobility: Workspace and Deployment Strategies program. "Next-gen mobile AI presents an opportunity for increased worker productivity and efficiency, as well as increased corporate security and end-user privacy protection. 2025 will mark a period of mobile AI discovery in the workplace with users learning how to best leverage new mobile AI features at work, and IT departments learning how to best manage mobile AI in corporate environments."
