This IDC Market Note discusses how cloud and AI continue to drive Microsoft results in 2Q25. Microsoft continued to move forward on its path of increasing revenue and growth into its second quarter of 2025, with revenue of $69.6 billion increasing 12% over the last year. "Microsoft continues to make solid financial progress based on its AI and cloud efforts," said Dave Schubmehl, research VP, AI and Automation at IDC. "AI is increasingly becoming a key component of the ongoing success of Microsoft."
